You will take on complex challenges that are ever-changing and reach far beyond the world of finance.
Traders lie at the core of this company's discretionary investment strategies, and they are wanting a motivated, exceptional and unique student to contribute significantly to the team over the summer (2017), working within the Energy team (about 5 people). You'll work on complex challenges that are continuously changing and reach far beyond the financial world.
Analysing and interpreting big data to identify trends; and,
Making trading recommendations on the back of the analysis.

Extremely strong academics in a relevant subject (e.g. Maths, Physics, Engineering, and Computer Science etc.) - on track for a top grade (1st class) from a world-leading university (graduating in 2018, or potentially 2017).
Excellent level of quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills.
A strong interest in the financial markets (no prior experience in the sector necessary though!).
Highly computer literate.
Coding experience (Python is preferred)
Prior experience within a similar or relevant internship could be beneficial, but not a requirement.
Salary: Highly competitive compensation package.
Start Date: May/June 2017 (Somewhat flexible - but needs to be for a minimum term of 10-12 weeks in total).
Duration: 10-12 week summer internship, with the potential of a permanent offer at the end.
Location: Central London (Zone 1).
